About Karen - Wedding, Portrait & Events Photographer in Yorkshire
Based in Brighouse - West Yorkshire. Having been a keen photographer for many years, in 1997 Karen enrolled on a GCSE Photography course with the local college. During this time, she was taught how to process, develop and print Black & White Photographs. After this exam Karen was awarded with Grade A.
In 2001 Karen successfully completed a two year course with City & Guilds Level II Photography. Once again, Karen was processing and printing Black and White Photographs, this time in her own Dark Room at home. Karen submitted 5 modules, some of which were Black and White, others being Colour and Slides. Karen was very proud when she was awarded with Distinctions for all categories.Karen Walton is a member of the Royal Photography Society & SWPP & BPPA and has been awarded with an Licenciate's from the RPS & BPPA.
After being asked to photograph a friends sisters wedding in 2002, using black & white and colour film, Karen was firmly bitten by the bug. Karen got such a buzz from the wedding and the results, she set up a small website and it roller balled from there. Thus came the birth of Karen Walton Photography. Since then Karen fastly gathered a reputation for great photography, be it wedding, portrait or events.
